This two day workshop was the inaugural meeting of the newly formed Open Innovation Research Forum (OIRF). The theme for the workshop was “Does location matter for open innovation?”.

The workshop was by invitation only and attendance was maximised.

The outline for the programme was:

Monday 11th April

10:00 – 17:00  Practitioner Forum: Key issues from the perspectives of companies and policymakers

This was followed by networking and a dinner at King’s College.

 Tuesday 12th April

09:00 – 16:00  Research Forum:  Key issues for academic researchers

summary report giving an overview of what happened at the Forum has been produced and can be downloaded.

This event was sponsored by the UK~IRC and Japan’s Institute for Technology and was run by IfM.
